THE collapse of Roman civilisation was a protracted affair, with over two centuries of decay before it finally crumble into the abyss of history. The Labour government is clearly not prepared to be as patient when bringing about the decline of Britain.
The last three months have seen a cacophony of chaos, especially at Britain’s borders. Despite it being the country’s number one concern, the invasion of illegal migrants on small boats has continued unimpeded and there is no sign that legal migration will fall from its record levels.
Where is Her Majesty’s Official Opposition during this period of what feels like an existential crisis? The Conservative Party of opposition is as self-referential as it was when in government, engaged in a bout of navel gazing while the protracted leadership contest unfurls.
