About that 'conspiracy theory'…

This integrated system of monitoring, rewarding, punishing and restricting individuals is an unprecedented threat to liberty and intrusion into privacy.

'2020: ANYONE CLAIMING THERE’S A PLAN TO IMPLEMENT VACCINE PASSPORTS IS A CONSPIRACY THEORIST AND THEIR DANGEROUS MISINFORMATION MUST BE STOPPED!

2021: ANYONE OPPOSED TO VACCINE PASSPORTS IS A CONSPIRACY THEORIST AND THEIR DANGEROUS MISINFORMATION MUST BE STOPPED!'

'Conspiracy theory/ist' isn’t a phrase any thinking person should use. It indicates refusal to engage in thought. False ideas can be exposed through facts or logic, with no need to resort to smears. Especially as it seems some 'conspiracy theorists’ were right all along…

As Bournbrook’s Digital Editor S D Wickett noted on July 25th: 'Someone in Westminster has hit the "Hollywood dystopia" button. Everything the Government has said this week is utterly terrifying!’

Announcements of chilling schemes and proposed laws came tumbling forth in July: vaccine passports to permit entry to clubs, pubs, sports events and churches; a law to outlaw catcalling; a law levying a maximum fourteen-year prison sentence on journalists who embarrass the Government; a scheme to monitor and reward diet and exercise; the launch of an official British digital currency. Respectively, they comprise initiation of digital ID/internal passports, criminalisation of disagreeable speech, criminalisation of investigative journalism, a social-credit system and the advent of the cashless society. (Additionally, there is an intended ban on internal-combustion car engines by 2030.) This integrated system of monitoring, rewarding, punishing and restricting individuals is an unprecedented threat to liberty and intrusion into privacy.

All of these bruited schemes had been the province of alleged crackpots. Yet those crackpots had been paraphrasing announced plans of the World Economic Forum, Open Society Foundation, UN, Rockefeller Foundation and a dozen influential NGOs. Together with partner corporations and governments (including ours), these organisations command trillions of dollars. World leaders attend their meetings and sign their agreements.

Whether or not this is implementation of the WEF’s pet scheme the ‘Great Reset’ (allying corporations and governments in order to restrict individual freedom and reduce consumption), the British Government’s July initiatives are effectively congruent to it. We should view the Government’s intentions as broadly aligned with the ‘Great Reset’ until proven otherwise. Conspiracy? Hardly. It is a mighty odd conspiracy that is promoted. 'You will own nothing and you will be happy,' as the WEF beatifically pronounce.

Next time someone uses the phrase 'conspiracy theory/ist' in conversation, ask him/her to explain objections using logic and information. You might find them stumped and yourself a little wiser.
