Anarcho-Tyranny goes viral

He does not fear the law because he knows that he is above it.

It has recently been brought to the public attention of the mass consciousness, that there exists a chap who has made it his mission to offend and intimidate the fine people of London.

Though, when I say 'chap', it does not quite feel right. As, to my mind, a 'chap' is an upstanding fellow, the sort one can rely on. The individual in question is anything but.

His name is Bacari Ogarro, but he goes by 'Mizzy', and he has made a habit of sowing the seeds of fear and mistrust into the London fog. He capitalises on the general state of unease that has engulfed a crime-infested city; like a jackal on a Leopard's kill.

As it has been brought to light in recent weeks, his line of habitual criminality stretches into all corners. He has entered the property of a random London couple, making himself at home and frightening the couple's young children. He has stolen the dog of an elderly woman, threatened to kill random pedestrians, crossed the proverbial line with a multitude of women just going about their business, chased people down, accosted random motorists sitting in traffic, and seems to have a particular penchant for harassing orthodox Jews. We know this because, as opposed to being caught on a CCTV camera, or a Ring doorbell, he has documented his acts for all with a smartphone and WiFi connection to see. He has built an audience for himself on Tiktok and YouTube, proudly declaring his contempt for the peace.

While this may seem to just be another case of internet 'clout chasing' straying, suddenly, into the very real, it is more than that. While this feral teenager seems to possess the arrogance, egotism, and chaos of a rambunctious puppy with a careless owner; what Mizzy represents paints a stark picture of where we stand as a society. Habitual criminality, abetted by weak policing. He does not fear the law because he knows that he is above it.

Take, for instance, the video footage of Mizzy being 'confronted' by an officer of the Metropolitan Police, and one can see how far policing has fallen. Either the individual copper in the video is an ideological actor, who salivated at the opportunity to not assert the law, or recent developments across the pond have left British police trembling in their high-vis windbreakers, petrified at the prospect of becoming the next Derek Chauvin. These are the same officers who beat anti-lockdown protesters, investigate mean tweets, take the knee and dance at ‘Pride’. Meanwhile, London becomes a slum.

Much has been said in right wing circles on the concept of 'anarcho-tyranny'. To those unaware, it is a method of demoralisation, be it conscious or unconscious, that seeks to punish the law-abiding while enabling a culture of genuine, violent criminality. It is within this culture that someone like Mizzy thrives, turning the very valid fears of the public - that they shall be next - into monetised, viral content. It is a perfect snapshot of an enriched city in the twenty-first century.
