REVOLUTION in modern Britain was carried out behind closed doors. There was no street fighting, no dramatic rolling of tanks into the streets, or even a polite announcement on the television.
Peter Hitchens is right to call the New Labour Government – so final in both capturing and creating nodes of power in institutions across the media, our culture, the education system, the criminal justice system and politics – as the most radical government since Cromwell. Yet a huge majority in this country aren’t even aware that a revolution has happened, and is continuing to grind on under Keir Starmer.
