Following the hysteria of the UN describing climate change as “code red for humanity”, YouTube and Google (arms of Alphabet Inc.) have announced they will ban advertisements that contradict the common narrative on climate change. This is “to curb the spread of misinformation”. There is no reason that this will not be incorporated into terms of service in order to demonetise and deplatform users – even scientists – who question the official climate narrative. After a decade of suppressing criticism of the manmade-environmental-tipping-point narrative within the mass media, censorship has expanded to new media and social media.
Eco-blasphemy has been added to the list of thoughtcrimes under the Cathedral, implemented through mega-corporations and mass media, new media and social media. Questioning COVID-19 jabs, advocating for COVID-19 treatment and doubting the 2020 US General Election results already lead to bans, even when backed by factual information. As we find in totalitarian regimes, truth is what is currently decreed by authorities. Merriam-Webster Dictionary (lexicographers-in-chief at the Ministry of Truth) have re-defined “racism”, “anti-vaxxer” and “sexual preference” and is memory-holing definitions. Trapped by an advantageously accelerated euphemism treadmill, ordinary people can be redefined into sin, justifying excommunication by the Cathedral.
Truth does not matter. When the engineered-virus Wuhan-lab COVID-19 origin theory was first circulated, it was dismissed by WHO, Western governments, ignored by mass media and banned by Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other Big Tech channels. Now that the Cathedral does not need to deny mounting evidence that confirms the source of COVID-19 was likely the Wuhan lab, such comment is permitted. When critics suggested COVID-19 jabs were not effective, they were initially silenced. Now that effectiveness is no longer an issue – only regime compliance is – the inadequacies of COVID-19 jabs can be discussed openly, even if calling for boycotts is not permissible.
Future targets for designation as “hate speech” (and deplatforming) are majority views on the binary nature of human sex, enforced pronoun use, sexualisation of children, opposition to Critical Race Theory, resistance to mass immigration and suspicion of Islam. This selection is determined because these beliefs impede globalist erosion of tradition and national integrity. Objection to social engineering is classed as bigotry, progenitor of violence, thus it is domestic terrorism. Once this chain is established through Post-Modernism – language enforces power, therefore speech is violence – any speech or thought can be deemed dangerous. In religious societies, sin was cause to control and punish people; under the rule of the secular Cathedral, opposition to authority is sin.
These new blasphemies are not consistent and not honestly held by enforcers. Exercise of power has its own logic: destroy opposition using any necessary level of persuasion, deceit or force. The more ridiculous and extreme the Cathedral’s truth is – the more reality is contradicted – the more humiliating the acts of abasement required of individuals. As Theodore Dalrymple observed of Communist states, there is no logic or consistency to regimes’ laws other than the humiliating absurdity of compliance and enforcement. Authoritarianism created a double culture: lies in public, truth in private (only among very few trusted people). Everyone understood they were mouthing lies but that did not change anything. The truth could not be said out loud and people were subject to the abjection of lying-by-rote, degrading themselves and degrading truth-telling.
When in the coming years you see less debate over the eco-alarmist agenda, remember: lies in public, but only authorised lies.
