The Covid cover-up: the biggest scandal of our times

As time goes by, the evidence increasingly vindicates that one-time ‘conspiracy theory’, as is so often the case today.

For almost two years, the majority of the mainstream media has been ignoring the biggest story in the world. In doing so, they unambiguously display their true nature: that of propagandists.

It has been clear from the get-go that the sensible money was on Covid-19 coming from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Yours truly was saying so over half a year ago. A mass outbreak of a novel coronavirus only sneezing distance from a laboratory specialising in bat coronaviruses could hardly suggest otherwise.

Yet, asserting that this was merely a ‘conspiracy theory’ was the establishment position when Wu-flu went international. Given President Trump‘s then naming the virus the ‘China virus’, it is likely that the subsequent two years of obfuscation and lies were in significant part due to Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The story, however, does not want to go away. It has been revealed recently that prominent scientists both in the US and UK were, behind closed doors, from the very beginning convinced that the virus was manmade.

However, in public, they labelled this a ‘conspiracy theory’. In America, Dr Francis Collins (head of the National Institute of Health) and Dr Antony Fauci (Chief Medical Advisor to the President), together with our own Sir Jeremy Farrar (head of The Wellcome Trust and former Sage member) and Sir Patrick Vallance all covered this perfectly legitimate theory with cold water.

In the words of Dr Francis Collins, it was scientists' job to 'put down this very destructive conspiracy' in order to maintain international ‘harmony’ by rushing out a series of articles pooh-poohing the lab-leak theory. ‘Nothing to see here, move along,’ they effectively told us.

It has already been revealed that NIH-funded research into gain-of-function studies was taking place in Wuhan, having first been vehemently denied by none other than Dr Fauci himself. How many other skeletons remain in the cupboard is anyone’s guess.

Claiming that such debates may somehow harm science, our top scientists saw it better to toe the CCP line. From the standpoint of two years hence, it is clear that their deeds, combined with the collapse in medical and moral ethics that have characterised the Covid-era, have done more to damage people’s faith in ‘science’ than being straight with the virus’ origin ever could. What they were trying to protect was themselves, not the science.

The extent of collusion between Western and Chinese scientists and authorities in all of this will likely be revealed in time. Any notion that our scientific leaders are somehow more morally upright than those labouring for Peking’s regime will be shown to be meaningless. The craven attempts at covering their own trails will be exposed.

Moreover, while speculative, I would not be surprised if Dr Collin’s use of the word ‘harmony’ is itself China-inspired. ‘Harmony’ is one of the Chinese Communist Party’s 12 ‘core socialist values’. Its characters (‘和谐’) are plastered everywhere across China. It is one of those words – along with things like ‘auspicious’ – that have a ring of Chinglish about them, and which become more obvious when you become familiar with the idiosyncrasies of the English used by Chinese authorities. Perhaps he chose the word freely himself, perhaps he borrowed it unthinkingly from a Chinese counterpart: who’s to say?

That Western scientists essentially colluded with those in Red China to ensure that the true origin of the virus remained hidden must rank among one of the greatest scientific controversies of all time. The back-covering – which, given revelations so far, we can only assume is done to hide even greater scandals from seeing the light of day – is unforgiveable. If the truth that eventually comes out is as bad as it looks like it could be, it has the potential to unravel much of the carefully constructed façade that holds the technocratic elite in place.

But don’t expect the legacy media to cover it with any great interest. As these massive revelations come out, all we can read about is whether Boris Johnson held a party or not. The question is not irrelevant, but it is a circus to distract us from the possibility that those seated at the very top echelons of power have been lying to us from the start.

Many of us have suspected it to be the case all along. As time goes by, the evidence increasingly vindicates that one-time ‘conspiracy theory’, as is so often the case today.
