NI Protocol mess could shatter the whole of the UK, warns Ben Habib

Ben Habib agrees with William Parker that the ongoing Northern Ireland Protocol debacle could drag the UK back into the Single Market.

The former Brexit Party MEP told Bournbrook that while this was one possibility, another was “Irish reunification, followed by Scotland also having a crack at leaving the union”.

He said:

“The EU was open with us from the start. The price of Brexit would be Northern Ireland.

“Our hapless Government hasn’t got the wherewithal to chart a safe route for the UK. They are hopeless.”
